Authorities are at the scene of a crash near 5900 McHard Rd near southwest Houston.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., police received a call that an accident had occurred and someone was trapped inside of a car.
HPD commander & PIO en route to the 5900 block of McHard Road (southwest Houston). Preliminary information is a suspect has died after crashing his vehicle while fleeing from police after almost running them over. #hounews

Officials arrived and pronounced one person dead at the scene.
Houston Police tweeted that a suspect was attempting to flee from police when they ended up crashing their vehicle.
