Andrés García, Mexican film and television actor, died at the age of 81

Andrés García, Mexican film and soap opera actor, died today at the age of 81, after convalescing for several weeks.


The artist, immortalized for his role as Pedro Navajas, is also remembered for his multiple controversies.


Andrés García was an important actor in emblematic films and soap operas. The famous man was born on May 24, 1941 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He lived a quiet childhood close to his parents. He obtained Mexican nationality when his parents immigrated to Mexico.


Andrés García was the son of the famous aviator Andrés García Calle. The actor began to discover a love for art and his acting in this country during his adolescence. In his youth he worked for a long time in the port of Acapulco.


It was in 1966 when he was offered the opportunity to act in the movie Chanoc, when he was 25 years old. This tape was the one that opened the doors in his artistic career. He participated in more than 100 films, including: Pedro Navajas, El Macho Biónic, Tintorera, El Niño and El Papa…


He also participated in several Mexican soap operas in Mexico such as: My name is Courage, The magnate, The forbidden woman, The privilege of loving, I know that never, The twins, Ana del aire, Bridal veil, Scandal, Women deceived, The body of desire, among others.


The actor who was married three times, beat prostate cancer and leukemia.
