You can get a free turkey for Thanksgiving at many grocery stores.
At H-E-B, get up to a 14-pound Riverside frozen turkey for free when you buy an H-E-B sliced bone in half or whole ham, or H-E-B boneless spiral sliced ham. It’s a limit of one free turkey per customer.
At Fiesta, get a free Jennie-O grade A frozen turkey, 10 to 14 pounds when you buy a Choice spiral sliced ham, or a fresh pork leg or three dozen of Fiesta’s famous tamales.
At Kroger, if you buy a Smithfield spiral sliced ham, you get a free 10 to 14 pound turkey. But what’s great about this is if you need a bigger turkey, you can use the amount toward a larger-sized turkey.
Finally, we checked out Walmart too. They don’t have a free turkey promotion, but they have the cheapest price per pound on Butterball turkeys at just 98 cents.
