Sunshine brings near record highs, but a Friday front cools us off to start the weekend.
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for most of southeast Texas until noon today. Meteorologist Travis Herzog says the fog will remain near the coast through the afternoon.
Once the fog and low clouds burn off farther inland, Travis says we see the sun again with a near record high of 81 for Houston.
A cool front moving across Texas Friday will produce more rain and bring temperatures back down to more seasonal levels. Expect a cool, cloudy Saturday with a few showers. This front does not look as strong as the last one, so expect warmer temperatures and a little sun to quickly return Sunday.
Travis says next week’s weather pattern looks to turn warm, humid, and potentially stormy.
