The Trump administration on Thursday retaliated against Russia for expelling hundreds of U.S. diplomats, announcing it is requiring Russia to close several posts in major U.S. cities.
A State Department statement said the U.S. is requiring Russia close its consulate general in San Francisco and its annex in both Washington, D.C. and New York City.
“These closures will need to be accomplished by September 2.”
