A woman was killed when the car hauler she was riding in flipped onto a concrete barrier, nearly splitting the cab in half.
The crash happened just after 3 a.m. on the outbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway near Scarsdale.
A car hauler and black sedan were involved. A woman riding in the hauler died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle appeared to be uninjured.
The investigation kept the freeway mainlanes closed for hours, sending commuters to the feeder road. The HOV inbound lane was closed as well. All lanes reopened about seven hours after the accident.
