Fires damaged two Houston restaurants in September. One of this year’s most eagerly anticipated bars and a favorite spot for Mediterranean cuisine both suffered damage. Thankfully, no one was hurt in either blaze.
Mary’z Lebanese Cuisine, a Galleria staple known for classic dishes like hummus, shawarma, and kabobs, burned on Saturday. ABC13 reporter Miya Shay took a picture of the damage.
In a statement, the owners vowed to reopen saying, “No one got hurt, and we will rebuild and come back stronger than ever if it’s God’s willing.” The Washington Avenue location remains open.
