Tropical Storm Harvey has school districts in the Houston area and across southeast Texas paying close attention to the weather.
In HISD, leaders told the media they are closely monitoring the storm, but still plan to start school on Monday.
The district said families should stay tuned for updates.
For now, they have canceled all campus-based activities and district events after Friday at 2 p.m. This includes any practices, scrimmages, and any scheduled games.
We're closely monitoring Tropical Storm Harvey. All HISD campus-based activities and district events after 2pm Friday are canceled. #Harvey
