The summerlike moist, tropical air covering Houston will produced some scattered showers again today. Minor street flooding is possible while the rain is falling, but bayou flooding is not expected.
About 1-2″ of rain could fall in a few spots. Because the showers will be scattered, many areas will stay dry.
Frequent lightning will accompany the rain and it’s possible a few funnel clouds could also develop. High temperatures will reach the low 90s, although it will cool off into the upper 70s while it’s raining.
The tropical air will continue to produce afternoon showers throughout the week and into the weekend.
