A woman in her early 60s has died after she was found shot near Katy.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says the wounded woman was found inside a car before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Old Greenhouse Road at Windy Stone.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Deputies say the shooting suspect fled the area, and homicide investigators have been called to the scene.
